What do I get with my entry?
Your 2022 Climb Everest Challenge entry includes a CEC Finisher Medal, printable event bib, raffle ticket (drawn during our live end-of-event Zoom celebration) - ALL SHIPPED FREE TO YOUR DOOR! Receive extra raffle tickets for each stage of the event that you complete.
Climbers registered prior to 7/4/2022 will receive a FREE 2022 Edition Climb Everest Challenge T-shirt. (T-shirts available for purchase after 7/4/2022)
How does the Challenge work?
To complete this challenge, you will record 29,030 ft (8,848m) of elevation gain over the course of 50 days. You will track elevation on your preferred hardware/software, Strava, etc. You will record your efforts on the Climb Everest Challenge results board. Challenge yourself to conquer the mountain!
When does registration begin?
The registration window will open on June 4, 2022. There will be an early registration window for Past Participants starting May 14, 2022, this is by invitation only.
When can I submit the results of my efforts?
AUGUST 13, 2022 through OCTOBER 1, 2022 is the open window.
How do I submit results?
After you register, you will receive a confirmation email. This is your “check-in” at the Registration Tent before you head to the Start Line. You can use any app or device to track your run. You submit results by manually entering your activities! You can start Submitting on Saturday, August 13th.
How do I earn more raffle tickets?
Each registered participant will receive one raffle ticket upon entry, one extra ticket per Base Camp achieved, and TWO extra tickets upon reaching the summit. Super climbers who summit more than once will receive an additional bonus.
What are the ways I can choose to do the challenge?
You can select whether you want to Run, Hike/Walk, Cycle, or Tri (all three). Whatever you select will indicate the results board that you will show up on.

Is this a race?
This is a "challenge" and NOT a race. We hope everyone has fun and cheers each other on.
But we are okay with a little friendly competition for those who want some extra motivation at the personal or team levels.
We are also working on a couple of other fun things that we hope to get into 2022; otherwise, we will target 2023 for these additions.
Can I bring a team?
Absolutely! Team captains who rally a full roster of 12 participants will receive a FULL REFUND of their personal registration. These Captains will be eligible for Team Captain's Perks. Challenge your team to hit their individual elevation goals, and monitor your team's progress against other teams from around the country!

What if I don’t have a team, can I join a team?
New for 2022 is the opportunity to join a virtual team. Each virtual team will be managed by a volunteer Captain. The team will have a private Facebook group that will allow virtual team members to interact and cheer each other on. Have fun with others around the country!
Is there a Climb Everest Challenge medal?
Yes! The Climb Everest Finisher Medal is a high-quality stainless steel design, unique for 2022. This medal comes with your registration and SWAG package!
What's New for 2022?
We are so excited that The Climb Everest Challenge is back for its 3rd Annual Event! This year will be more exciting than ever.
New things new for this year:
- New ownership: Two-time challenge participant (bike) Yvonne Benjamin acquired the Climb Everest Challenge from Bikes & Beers in early 2022. Her goal is to make the challenge even better than ever, building on the legacy of the founders.
